Talent that knows no bounds

Multi-talented entertainer, Craig Urbani, might have many facets to him, but nothing falls short of him giving everything in what he does, everything he has got. The accomplished actor lives by the creed that whatever his name is attached to, needs everything he has to give.

The engaging performer is known for his roles both on stage and on the small screen. His illustrious career has seen him travel the world and work alongside some internationally acclaimed artists. Urbani started performing professionally in 1992 when he in starred in The Rocky Horror Show. He is a man passionate about his craft and is propelled by his need to push his own boundaries.

Though the Randpark Ridge native is known for his characters in TV series, such as Isidingo and and more recently, Ashes to Ashes. He can also be noticed around local hotspots pursuing his other love – music. Urbani explained that music has always been an aspect that fascinated him. “My father’s side of the family are all very musically inclined,” said Urbani. He went on to add that through his music, he is able to attract a different audience. Through this portal, he has been able to connect with people on more of a personal level.

“I love music, and I also love being able to explore the different avenues that are open to me,” said Urbani. With this notion, he hopes to inspire anyone seeking a career in the entertainment industry to never box themselves into one genre. He pointed out that although it is fantastic to specialise in something, it would be a great idea to be diverse. “Do as much as you can,” said Urbani. “You need to know what it is you want, and what makes you happy.”

He concluded that attitude is everything, and in this industry you need to make yourself employable.
