Accident leaves one critical
LANSERIA – Two people were injured in an accident on the R512
Two people were left injured on 29 October, leaving one in a critical condition, after a vehicle rolled several times off the R512 past Lanseria, North of Johannesburg.
ER24 spokesperson Russell Meiring said that when ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene they found a light motor vehicle sitting upright, toward the far left-side of the road, and two victims lay about 30m away.
Meiring said that upon assessment, paramedics found that a woman had sustained critical injuries while a man had sustained minor injuries.The paramedics then immediately began their treatment and provided the critically injured patient with advanced life support. The patient was airlifted by helicopter to Life Fourways Hospital for urgent treatment.The remaining patient was treated and transported to the nearest hospital for further treatment.The incident was reported to police for further investigations.
