Residents and business owners from various suburbs in Ward 87 are warned to expect a planned power outage scheduled from 10pm on 7 September until 8 September at 6am.
Affected suburbs include Linden, Blairgowrie, Pierneef Park and Ext 1, Pine Park and Exts, Victory Park SH, Parkhurst, Parktown North, Parkwood, Saxonwold, Craighall, Craighall Park, Parktown, Dunkeld West Ext 5, Robindale, Forest Town, Parkview and Westcliff.
Ward 87 Councillor Amanda Forsythe explained the power outage was planned due to maintenance work on the network.
“As we have seen in the past, it may or may not happen, but please be prepared anyway,” cautioned councillor Forsythe.
She further warned residents to treat all plug points as live and unplug any sensitive appliances during the outage in case of a surge when power is restored.
