Abraham Kriel celebrates 20 years of stars

RANDBURG – Abraham Kriel Childcare will be hosting the annual Stars for Charity event.

Abraham Kriel Childcare (AKC) will be hosting the annual Stars for Charity event in celebration of 20 years in September.

AKC is a non-profit organisation which runs 21 homes for vulnerable children in Gauteng, including homes in Fontainebleau, Risidale, and Linden.

The annual Stars for Charity event is one of the highlights on AKC’s calendar each year. This year, it promises to be more extraordinary.

“This prominent event is an opportunity for businesses and individuals not only to support a cause that is close to their hearts, but also to showcase heart-warming performances by some of our beneficiaries,” said Annamart Viljoen of AKC.

She said as an organisation that has nurtured, protected and supported children in need for the past 113 years, they continuously strive to ensure that the well-being of vulnerable children is at the heart of what they do.

“At AKC, we focus on a holistic approach in caring for children and youth and this means that we not only provide in the basic needs for our children; we also focus quite heavily on their education in order to build a solid foundation for their success,” Viljoen said.

The evening promises to be filled with wonderful entertainment and performances by the AKC children among other professional artists providing their talents free of charge.

All funds raised through this initiative will be in aid of the educational needs of the AKC children.
