Grade 7 boy pupils from the area gathered to enjoy a four-day cricket clinic at the Rand Park High School.

The week was filled with lots of training including skills development at the school in Randpark Ridge. Head coach Jimmy Breakey, with his two assistant coaches, helped the boys further their batting, bowling and fielding techniques. It was also held to help promote friendship and camaraderie among the Grade 7 cricket players that will be attending the high school for Grade 8 next year. The clinics encouraged the soon to be new pupils to get to know one another as well as their coaches. View another Rand Park High holiday programme.

Breakey ended the last holiday clinic day on 2 July with a few wise words. “We [Rand Park High School] are proud to be welcoming such a great group of gentlemen to our school.” He further added the school’s need to preserve integrity, honesty, perseverance and spirit. Certain players were awarded with certificates for each of these important values.
