RANDPARK RIDGE – Trinityhouse proud of its three rugby players that were chosen to represent the school in the Golden Lions Under 16 President XV squad.

Three U-16 rugby players of Trinityhouse High School in Randpark Ridge have been chosen to represent the school in the U16 Golden Lions President XV squad.

Public relations officer at the school Christelle Wolmarans explained that Austin Bruggen, Christian Humpries and Kyle van Eyssen were selected to be part of the team.

“The team is made up of players from the ‘small school’ category and this included players from Trinityhouse, Fochville, Riebeeckrand. Queens, Die Adelaars, Alberton and a couple of other small schools in the Joburg area.”

She added that the team was invited to play in the Jeppe U16 Easter Festival and schools like Kearsney, Maritzburg College and Helpmekaar were participants at the festival.

“The Lions team was proudly captained by Christian Humpries and they were very successful – winning all three of their scheduled matches as follows: 50–0 against Saint Benedicts, 19–11 versus Pretoria Boys High and 25–17 versus Maritzburg College.”

She concluded and congratulated the Trinityhouse boys for their excellent performance in the team.
