Saints Girls hockey shows that they have passion for the sport

RANDBURG - Saint Stithians Girls College win all four of their first games at the Saints Festival.

Perfect form was displayed by the girls from Saint Stithians Girls College as they won their first four matches in an exuberant fashion.

The girls were off to a great start as they defeated Worksop College all the way from the United Kingdom 5 – 0 on 2 April. On the same day their first challenge came as they took on Diocesan School for Girls and the half way scores were 2 for all and just as the Saints fan thought the game was going to draw a Saints player slipped through and pushed the scored to 3 – 2 for the hosts.

On the 4th of April the girls took on their rivals all the way from Namibia aptly called Windhoek High School. The game was off to a slow start but the Saint Stithians Girls drew first blood and scored one goal thereafter which ended off the game 2 – 0 for the Saints.
The winning streak continued as the girls took on a big sports school called HoĂ«rskool Waterkloof. The game was a challenge and a close game as the two schools held each other for the first half and the scores were equal. Saints were spurred on by the crowd and they finished off their fourth game with a score of 3 – 2.
