A slam dunk for Trinityhouse at the Easter Sports Festival

RANDBURG – Trinityhouse Randpark started on high note at the St Stithians College Easter Sports Festival on 2 April.

The St Stithians College Easter Sports Festival is in full swing.

Pupils, parents and former pupils flocked to the sport grounds at St Stithians College on 2 April to watch the various matches, which include netball, tennis, squash, hockey, rugby and basketball.

Netball matches started on high this morning as Trinityhouse Randpark trashed Roedean Girls College scoring a whopping 51-4.

The hosts did not have a good start to the day as they were beaten by Krugersdorp High School with a score of 25-31 during their first match.

Pixie Mountyry, coach of the Krugersdorp netball team was excited by the results of their first game and said, “I’m excited that we won. St Stithians Girls’ College is of the best teams and their defenders stopped our shooters many times during the game.”

She added that they knew it was going to be a tough game against the hosts.

St Stithians Girls’ College netball coach Pat van den Munckhof, conceded that there were a few errors during the game and sometimes the St Stithians’ goal shooters battled to pass through with the ball.

“Considering that this is our first game of the season, I think we played well. We knew it was going to be difficult, but it was a great game,” said Van den Munckhof.
