Herbalife attempts to break Guinness worlds record

RANDBURG – Ninety countries participated in the Herbalife's attempt to break the Guinness world record.

Global nutrition company Herbalife attempted to break Guinness world records on 7 March, by having people from 90 countries participating in the same workout.

As part of their 35th anniversary, Herbalife members, family and friends gathered at Brightwater Commons in Randburg to join in the effort.

One hundred and three individuals participated in the event to promote healthy and active living.

“As part of Herbalife’s anniversary, we are doing workouts in 90 different countries and 30 places in South Africa are involved in the workouts,” said Herbalife’s Margaret Beaumont.

The participants took a minimum duration of 45 minutes for the workouts.

“The first workout started in New-Zealand, everyone is doing exactly the same workout around the world,” she said.

The event also served as a global fundraiser for the Herbalife Family Foundation and its Casa Herbalife Programme, which supports and funds more than 100 health and nutrition programmes around the world for at-risk and low-income children in under-served areas around the world.
