RANDBURG – Cricket club uses golf day to raise funds for maintenance.
The Randburg Cricket Club will host a golf day at the Ruimsig Country Club on 31 March to raise much-needed funds for the upkeep of its facilities.
“We want new covers for the pitch, and our sight screen repainted and fixed ,” said club captain Ryan Jacobs.
He added that money will also go toward an irrigation system for the club’s second field, and the whole club’s general maintenance.
Club vice chairperson Jonathan Houston said that the golf day will be a great opportunity to network, have fun with colleagues and friends, and have fun with cricketers “who always have a story to tell.”
The golf day will cost R2 200 for four players to register.
