Shopping mall suspects appear in court

Three of the four suspects, who were allegedly involved in the car chase and shootout with the police at the Randburg Shopping Mall, See previous article, appeared in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court on 5 February.

One of the suspects was released from hospital and appeared in court on crutches, after he was shot during the shootout on 27 January, See previous article.

A letter from a hospital was brought before court for one of the four suspects who is still being treated for injuries.

Suspects one, three and four will not apply for bail, however, suspect two will apply for bail at the next court date.

The case has been postponed until 24 February.
