Writers 2000 offers a writing workshop

RANDBURG – Writers 2000 offers a workshop for all short story enthusiasts.

The Writers 2000, in association with ‘Allaboutwriting’, will be offering a writing workshop for anyone interested in learning more

about short story writing in February 2015.

The Allaboutwriting team – internationally published novelist and journalism lecturer Joanne Richards and award-winning

scriptwriter Richard Beynon – will run the workshop.

Some of the things they will show participants how to do are:

  • Set a story in motion
  • Create characters that keep the story moving along
  • Maintain the highest stakes
  • Structure your story to have the greatest impact
  • Come to a dramatic climax and a satisfying resolution.

The workshop will take place from 9.30 to 12pm on 28 February at the Inyoni Creek Clubhouse, Rand Aid Complex, corner Wordsworth and

Modderfontein roads, Lyndhurst.

Participants must bring their own writing materials or computers.

A fee of R200 for non-members and R175 for members of Writers 2000 is payable.

Allaboutwriting runs a number of writing courses of a high standard and this one is not to be missed if you have an interest in writing.
