PLOT: Setting the big-screen on fire, comes the much anticipated film The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 1.

Following on from Catching Fire, the second instalment of The Hunger Games Trilogy, Katniss Everdeen finds herself in District 13 after she destroys the games. Here she meets President Alma Coin and some other familiar faces who convince her to become the voice and symbol, ‘the Mocking Jay’ of the rebellion against the Capitol. Katniss rises to the challenge to save her beloved Peeta and a nation oppressed by President Snow.

VERDICT: I thoroughly enjoyed the first two movies and this once was just as good. The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 1 sets the scene for what I think is going to be a nail-biting ending. Although it is a bit of a cliff-hanger, the makers have cleverly managed to keep your attention. So even if you didn’t love the film, I bet you will go and see the next part, just to find out what happens and how it ends. I know I can’t wait.
