SPCA Randburg Christmas Wishes

Craig Rudman general manager of SPCA Randburg sends out their Christmas and seasonal greetings to the public.

The Staff, management and committee would like to take this opportunity to say with heartfelt appreciation: thank you to everyone and we pray

that we will still have your support in the New Year. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

I was asked to submit a wish list for the SPCA Randburg and, even though there are many items we need, one particular need is the refurbishment of

our clinic which has been dormant for years.

We have for some time been planning the refurbishment of our clinic which we are hoping to get a sponsor for and name that clinic after such person or

company that sponsors this need. This project is close to my heart and if we see it through we can surely help the community with animal health care.

The inspectors’ four vehicles have a list of items which are required in their vehicles for them to carry out their duties professionally and these items are:

catch poles, tools, bolt cutters, rechargeable torches, orange roof-mounted warning lights, Tasers for the criminal elements, reflective coats with their

rank and logo, 4-foot folding ladder for walls, shovels and GPSs .

Lastly, if you have pets at home and you are travelling away for the festive season, we know you will make arrangements for someone to look after

them. But please notify your neighbors surrounding you. We have so many false alarm calls we investigate concerning neglected pets – only to find out your neighbour thought your pets were abandoned and they call us. Some pets do get abandoned and that’s where we take action.
