Randridge Mall steps up crime prevention

RANDPARK RIDGE – Randridge Mall works with Honeydew Police to keep crime down.

Randridge Mall is increasing its crime prevention measures ahead of the festive season.

The spokesperson for the mall in Randpark Ridge, Melissa Bouwer, states, “In conjunction with the South African Council of Shopping Centres, Randridge Mall has combined security initiatives in collaboration with the Honeydew Police, retailers and communities within the surrounding area. Together we will be driving crime fighting solutions and being pro-active in our approach. It is our belief that increased Police presence and security alertness within our mall will be a deterrent for any prospective criminal.”

However, she added, it is of importance that their tenants and patrons remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

Effective communication and cooperation between parties will be key in fighting crime, she continued.

Sharing information about a crime which happened can result in a successful arrest.

“We have circulated updated contact numbers to our tenants.”

She cautioned that all resident and customers should have these numbers:

Honeydew Police 011 801 8613/14/15

Honeydew Sector 1 Patrol Vehicle 071 675 7111; 071 675 7101

“Should you have any concerns or would like to report an incident at our mall. Please report it to our on-site security office.

Our security is available 24hours. Alternatively, contact centre management. We wish residents a happy festive season.”
