RADIOKOP — We talk to community members about their new year's resolutions and come up with a few surprising ones

It is not uncommon to jot down a list of how you will improve your life at the beginning of a new year.

Yes, the time has come for us to make a list of our New Year’s resolutions, even though we might just abandon it three months into 2015.

Our paper took to the streets and asked some residents in Radiokop what they had planned for the new year.

  • Letitia Stalker: In terms of my business, I will certainly strive to give better service and I think we should demand better service in South Africa.
  • Dwayne Delport: I will really try to give better quality service to our clients. Of course, get on a diet, lose weight…the usual.
  • Tshego Mogashwa: I want be a better person. I would like to go out and help other people and just improve myself personally.
  • Claude van der Linde: I need to make more money and attract more customers. I would also like more electricity, I have had enough of power cuts.
  • Lawrence Dywili: I would like more water, we need water in our houses. I would also like to see less crime and a better implementation of law enforcement. It is ridiculous that people such as Oscar Pistorius get away with killing people.

Some of you might be rolling your eyes because you think you have heard them all, so we pulled up a list of wacky and outright crazy new year resolutions. If you have a couple of your own crazy resolutions, share in the fun and let us know.
