Foundation director and Thandulwazi co-ordinator Bev Johnson said the race went really well and she was glad that they had managed to raise some funds for the foundation.Team members did say that the last 20km were a ‘killer’ but it was worth it.

The academy was established by the St Stithians Foundation in 2006 out of the need for action in addressing the issues regarding the teaching and learning of maths and science in schools in Gauteng. Annually, the academy impacts over 2 300 educators. The programmes are held at St Stithians College and are funded by donations from individuals, trusts and corporate partners.
