Honeydew Sector 1 CPF holds year-end social

BOSKRUIN – Residents thank Ward councillors, police, Community Policing Forum and security companies for their work.

The Honeydew Sector 1 Community Policing Forum held its year-end meeting at The Barn Christian Fellowship, Boskruin, on 10 November.

The forum’s chairperson Greg Pearce thanked his committee for the productive year, and announced that the next meeting would take place next year February, but the date needed to be confirmed.

Cristina Owen, a Boskruin resident, brought up that she has organised a clean-up on the corner of CR Swart and President Fouché drives, Bromhof.

This will take take place on 29 November. Ward 101 Councillor Ralf Bittkau replied to this by saying that “when we have a productive community, the City [of Johannesburg] will feel obliged to act as well”.

Residents thanked Pearce, Ward councillors, police, Community Policing Forum and security companies for all of the work they have done through the year. The meeting ended with attendees sharing snacks and drinks that they had brought. Areas in Honeydew Sector 1 include Boskruin, Bromhof, Bush Hill Estate Agricultural Holdings (AH), Glen Dayson AH, Hunter’s Hill AH, Kelly Ridge, Northhgate, North Riding AH, Northwold, Randpark Ridge, Sonneglans, Strijdom Park and Sundowner.
