Thumbs up for Linden Police
LINDEN - Local resident gives Linden police a thumbs up for their immediate crime response.
Local resident Nicholas Grobler gave the Linden Police a thumbs up for responding quickly to a crime incident.
Grobler informed that at 4am on 6 November, an unidentified man was walking in their yard, attempting to burgle their house.
“We managed to chase after the man and eventually we caught him – amazingly, the police arrived within two minutes after we called them.”
Grobler informed that this is not the first time they have had problems with burglaries where they stay. “We were beginning to feel unsafe in our area. It was quiete scary living here but now it makes us feel safe that the police react quickly to crime.”
Residents should make it a priority to know their police sector numbers in order to receive a prompt response, advised Grobler.
He also emphasised that residents should be alert at all times and help the police.
Constable Matome Moseri from Sector 3 also agreed.
“It is our duty to respond early. However, it is advisable for residents to know their sector numbers in order for us to respond immediately in case of an emergency.”
