Moret maiden to be a model marvel

Jade Franzoni (14) is now on the right platform from which she can launch her modelling career.

She won the Face of Truworths, a national modelling competition featuring 1 400 contestants, which held its finals in Cape Town on 9 October.

“I am so happy,” she said afterwards. “I love to model. I had to do this.”

Franzoni wants to pursue a career in modelling.

However, she also likes “working with people and kids” so she says she might be a teacher one day.

The 10 finalists all signed contracts with Boss Models.

“I think it’s such a wonderful thing,” her mother Mel said.

“She was the youngest finalist so I was suprised that she won. This gives her the platform to start a modelling career.”

Mel added that the boot camp portion of the competition gave Jade valuable experience in photo modelling.

Jade’s father Mario is equally happy with the win. “I am proud,” he says. “There were 1 400 contestants, so to win, is quite neat.”
