Nianell launches her new album

OLIVEDALE - Nianell launches her new album ‘Just be’ with songs that can inspire the heart as well as the mind.

Nianell, a resident of Olivedale, has launched her new album Just Be in September.

Writer caught up with Nianell at her interview at Good Morning Africa in Randburg with presenter Derick Nyasulu.

Before and after the interview, Nianell shared some interesting and intimate details pertaining to the release of her new album.

Apart from being an extremely successful artist and songwriter, Nianell is also a mother, a motivational speaker and an author for her debut book, Knowing Who I Am.

The Afrikaans version Om Te Weet Wie Ek Is was a South African bestseller.

The album has 12 songs, eleven are in English and one is in Afrikaans.

She titled the album Just Be because, ”I have come to realise that we are not defined and measured by what we do.

Once we peel off all the layers, we are full of unconditional love.

We are ‘human beings’, ‘not human doings’,” says Nianell.

By letting go of her surroundings and opening her heart, Nianell has been able to incorporate a positive message in each one of her songs.

Track four, You Gotta Know What’s Going On, is dedicated to her triplet daughters (7 years old) where she found a sense of self- awareness, self-acceptance and self-discovery.

Track three, Got to Give Yourself, was the first single to be released on country-wide radio.

Nianell suggests, ”[The album] can benefit the community as it is important to share what you we have learned.

We all learn the same lessons, in a different way.

My music is me sharing my story and how I have created an easier life.”
