Jeff Dunham at the Dome – 10 May

America’s number one comedian and his beloved cast of characters are back in a brand new show – Disorderly Conduct. Dunham returns with Walter the Grumpy Retiree, Achmed the Dead Terrorist, the beer-fuelled redneck Bubba J, the manic purple creature Peanut, the spicy pepper from south of the border Jose Jalapeno, and Peanut’s own ventriloquist dummy Little Jeff, a mini-version of the ringmaster himself.

Jozi Craft Beer Fest – 10 May

For the love of craft beer the Jozi Craft Beer Fest returns with a bang. Expect more of the brilliance that you’ve come to expect, fitting in with the high standards and professionalism of all the breweries. Engage with the brewers, try a massive variety of craft beers and perhaps even find something that you weren’t expecting: your next favourite beer.

702 Mother’s Day Concert – 11 May

Treat your mom to a celebration of family and music at this year’s 702 Mother’s Day Concert at the zoo. South African performers Elvis Blue and Jamali, accompanied by The Chamber Orchestra of Johannesburg will be performing under the baton of musician and conductor Kutlwano Masote.

Pack a picnic and head to the lush lawns of the bandstand area in the heart of one of Joburg`s green jewels, the Johannesburg Zoo. There`s plenty of entertainment for the children, who can explore the natural wonders of the world through the zoo`s world-class exhibitions, or burn off some energy in the supervised play area.
