Potholes like a hydra monster

RANDBURG – They keep coming back.

Potholes can be likened to a hydra monster. The hydra was an ancient Greek mythological snake-like creature which, when one of its heads was cut off, it would grow two more in its place. Potholes do not only grow in depth, width and numbers over time, but it seems, when the clouds clear and Joburg Roads Agency does its work more potholes spring up in other places. The large and numerous potholes on C.R. Swart Drive, Northwold, have all been covered but more have arisen in Randburg and they are almost as scary.

Rabie Street, Fontainebleau, is home to about five in one area and make passage through the one lane perilous and in Drysdale Road, Northwold, is another section of devastation.

Details: Joburg Roads Agency 011 298 5001.
