A game between friends
Friendly soccer match take place every Thursday at the Randburg Legends Indoor Soccer Club.
Thursday afternoons at the Randburg Legends Indoor Soccer Club are nothing but dull, when friendly matches take place between players.
This was the case on 23 January when two teams, the Yellow Stars and the Punishers, went head to head for fun.
Yellow Stars attacking midfielder, Sibusiso Ngwenya, friendly matches are great for keeping fit and unwinding with friends after a hard day at work. ”Both the teams are made up of one group of friends. Most of us met at work, but we do have a few people who grew up together. This has become a great way to catch up and socialise,” explained Ngwenya.
Martin Chinyowa, defensive midfielder and captain of the Punishers said the his team only plays for fun. ”We do not play professionally and are not part of any tournaments that take place at the club. We will be adding new players to our teams this year, but only from within our social circle.”
The teams play their friendly matches every Thursday afternoon between 4pm and 6pm.
