Concert for new musos

Up and coming artists show off their talent.

The Sandwich Baron at the Hillcrest shopping centre in Windsor was abuzz with young musical talent showing off their vocal skills.

Daniel Phiri of Kushesh Event Promotions and Creative Art who organised the event said the concert was held to promote up and coming artists.

”They use every cent they have to push their music,” said

Phiri. “We want to encourage them. Their efforts in society are acknowledged. This is also to create a way out of unemployment as well as to encourage positive thinking that drugs and criminal activities are not the only way in life.”

Music throughout the evening ranged from hip-hop, kwaito, R&B, to soul music.

Artists who performed at the concert included Lunar, kwaito artist Bhubesi, the band, Mask of Immortal Crew, Ghetto Boyz and kwaito singer Shumza.
