From Springbok shirts to colourful beads and sarees the rainbow nation was truly represented in all areas at the King’s School Robin Hill.
The school celebrated Heritage Day and all the learners were encouraged to wear outfits and accessories in celebration of their own unique culture.
The pre-primary enjoyed a time of sharing with each child bringing their favourite ‘proudly South African’ snacks to share with friends. The high school’s learners were treated to boerewors rolls, mini milk tarts as well as coffee and rusks. But the fun did not stop there.
They were joined by the amazing street performers, Star Boys and incredible dancers who thrilled the learners with their amazing dance moves. Actors: Tiaan Slabbert and Lee Visagie taught the learners some acting skills.
There was a performance by musician Lyla Faye and the learners added their own contributions with the IsiZulu learners performing traditional dances. Grade 8 learner Amy Hill played her piano music piece that she wrote herself.
