Run/Walk For Life celebrates 40 years.

“We have a very diverse team of runners and walkers of all ages, fitness levels and paces,” said coach René de Villiers. “We recently welcomed a new member Elize Nowakowitsch to our team who reached out to the community because she walked alone and was held up at knifepoint. We’re very pleased that she joined us and she’s loving every minute.”

Atisha Maniram, Saieesh Maniram and Rita Somaroo celebrate the group’s 40th birthday.

Based at Randburg Bowls Club, members make their way out onto the streets of the nearby leafy suburbs during their runs. These are every Tuesday and Thursday at 16:30 and Saturday at 07:00.

Elize Nowakowitsch recently joined the group after being robbed at knifepoint.

De Villiers invited the community to join in or contact her to find out more about the group.
