Local organisations unite through a soccer tournament

In order to improve people's lives, local organizations: Gracious Givers Kids Foundation, Refihlile Disability Care, and Local Football Club Masters in Zandspruit intend to hold another charity soccer event in 2024.

Gracious Givers Kids Foundation, Refihlile Disability Care, and Local Football Club Master hosted a soccer event at Plot 52 on May 27 and 28.

The tournament was intended to formalise cooperation and partnership between three local organisations.

Caswell ‘Zuu’ Mfundo, tournament coordinator, said that they are doing this to relieve the burden on the founders of the organizations, who are operating the NPOs with their own money.

“I feel very happy and satisfied that we made a difference in people’s lives as a group,” he said.

Mpho Ramovha, secretary of the Gracious Givers Kids Foundation, explained that they are interested in working with other NPOs to support those in need.

Ramovha was moved by the joy and excitement of winning teams, as well as the opportunity to assist the disadvantaged.

The Charity Cup was won by Amaqabane FC, while Manong FC took the trophy home. Both teams contributed some of their winnings to each organization.

Amabuthu FC, Kya Sand FC, Amalegends FC, Honeydew FC, and Chilli Masters FC were among the other teams playing.

The tournament resulted in the distribution of food and clothing to the underprivileged.
