Rainbow Line Dancers trip the light fantastic

Once a month Rainbow Line Dance selects a theme for their get-together that allows them to cut loose for a few hours.

The students of Rainbow Line Dancing and Line Dancers of Gauteng gathered at the Blairgowrie Recreation Centre for their monthly club social.
The theme for this month’s ‘hoedown’ was ‘American Cheerleader’ inspired by the movie Mickey.

The get-together brought together novice and experienced dancers to have fun and socialise.

Dance teacher Leon Nel, said, “We danced all the dances we learned over the past few weeks.”

Dancer Adele Wollbroudt said, “We attend classes and every now and again we get together to have fun with dancing. It is very good for mental and physical health.”

“The event was absolutely awesome and it is even better when you have a theme. It feels good and fun to be dancing after Covid-19,” said dance teacher Briony Winslet.

Nel added that the event was a huge success. “Everything went well everybody had fun and enjoyed themselves in the dance floor.”
