The King’s School Robin Hills bags an award for using Eyebraingym

Samantha Oberholzer said that they needed a solution, during and after Covid19, to help students with something that's tried and tested and they found all of that and more in Eyebraingym

The King’s School Robin Hills has been awarded a Gold School Award from Lectorsa.

This is for their commitment and willingness to help children improve their visual intelligence.

The school is using Lectorsa’s Eyebraingym programme to help learners improve their learning skills.

“It was our first year of implementation, so we were thrilled to receive the award. We are pleased that we can offer a programme with proven results,” said Samantha Oberholzer, a specialist in literacy and dyslexia at The King’s Robin Hills.

She added that Eyebraingym is a computerised programme that focuses on developing visual processing, reading and comprehension. It is scheduled weekly on the timetable during the school day for all the Grade 4- 8 learners.

Oberholzer stated that during the year they saw an improvement in reading speed; word recognition and understanding of the text.

“It is so important to be able to develop every learner’s potential and to strengthen each individual’s skills, particularly when it comes to literacy which is crucial to learning. Eyebraingym is an additional tool that we offer parents to positively assist in building learner’s reading ability,” she told Randburg Sun.
