Once a month Carla’s Market comes to the Anne Harding Cheshire Home and it is always well supported by the community.
Antiques, jewellery, decor, books, kitchenware, and other oddities and hidden treasures are sold at affordable prices to raise funds for the residential home in Northwold for adults with disabilities.

“This is the best market in town,” smiled George Frantzeskou as he browsed the goods at the latest market, the rain outside forgotten once one enters the indoor venue filled with colour and trinkets.
Claudia Petersen and Ben Campbell said they always come to the market to support the home, having known people who stayed there.

Charlene Ramsay explained she comes to the charity shop every weekend but is especially excited when the market is open.
Jeanne Steenkamp said the market and charity shop are her favourite haunts.
“Every week I come to see what they have, and I buy a lot of clothes, kitchen stuff, and linen,” she said.

Shirley Glover volunteers at both the market and charity shop. Her smile is often the first thing people see as they enter the home.
“Everyone is welcome, and we always do our best for the community,” she said.
