Randburg SPCA and security company team up to rescue a trapped kitten
Randburg SPCA and SCP Security worked together on a heroic mission.
Randburg SPCA with the help of SCP Security rescued a kitten trapped in a storm drain in Linden.
Linden resident John Smeddle had heard the kitten meowing for two nights before he was able to locate where it was.
“I checked by waiting very close to the drain and after about 15 minutes, I heard the sound but a very faint sound. That is when we decided to call the Randburg SPCA who arrived soon after with SCP Security,” he told Randburg Sun.
The kennel manager at Randburg SPCA Cynthia Swanepoel said the kitten was in fair condition and hungry.
“Kitty is under quarantine at the moment and doing fine,” she said.
“Thank you to the public for always looking out for the animals. We won’t be able to do this without them. If you see something say something.”
