Northgate Road Race makes a comeback

Participants from various local clubs took to the streets of Northgate for the 24th annual Road Race.

People of all ages gathered at Northgate Shopping Centre for the 24th anniversary of the Run the North – Northgate Road Race on October 16.

Several running clubs joined this annual celebration including Run/Walk For Life Randpark, Far North Runners Club, Florida Running Club and more.

While some participants were pushed around in strollers, others had the choice of walking or running the 10km or 5km road race. The overcast conditions were perfect for the day’s activity which saw more than 1 000 participants.

At the finish line, everyone was awarded a medal and given water and a cold drink.
