Radley Private School learners complete the Raizcorp BizTech programme

Following the six-week programme, the Grade 9 and 10 learners put what they’ve learnt into action.

Over the past six weeks, a group of Grade 9 and 10 Radley Private School learners have been learning the basics of creating a website for their businesses through the BizTech programme presented by Raizcorp.

The learners of the Ferndale-based school learnt how to build their websites and what made a great digital presence. Wrapping up the programme, the learners went to Raizcorp’s head offices in Sandton on September 26 where they presented what they had created.

Noëth added they were extremely proud of all their learners and were delighted that they were producing young adults who would become job creators – not job seekers – when the learners left school.

Ariyn Lutchan in Grade 9 said, “The programme taught me the value of entrepreneurship and how it’s used in different aspects of my own life. It was quite an impactful experience that taught me how to use social media to build my own brand. Using websites is necessary to achieve business goals. The [course] certificate is a symbol of achievement and gaining new skills. I’m very proud of completing the course successfully.”

Anza Dabane in Grade 10 said, “It taught me how to think strategically about the business. Website design is not so intimidating once you know how to do it. I also learned the importance of keeping an open mind and trying new things. The certificate means that I have achieved something, and proves that I know how to create my own website for my business. I am proud that I signed up for the course and finished the programme successfully.”

The programme showcase ended with a graduation ceremony during which the entrepreneurs, wearing academic gowns, received certificates from Raizcorp.
