The Windsor Community Support Services show off their gratitude to the Linden SAPS through a donation

The non-profit organisation show their appreciation to the Linden SAPS through various voluntary services.

The Windsor Community Support Service (WCSS) team had extended their ground maintenance services such as cleaning, picking up litter, cutting grass, pruning trees and planting plants to the Linden Police Station, twice a week since August 2022, in readiness for Commemoration Day on September 11.

The WCSS community liaison manager Mathabo Bekimbia-Tchoffo said they had asked their members as well as the community to donate plants.

The WCSS team shows their appreciation to the Linden Police Station by cleaning up their grounds.

The WCSS had initially started this initiative on July 18, 2020, as a once-off event in respect of the Mandela Day celebration, then later they turned it into a monthly service which was officially scheduled.

With the donated plants from the community, the WCSS team makes the Linden Police Station look pretty.

“This is our way of thanking the Linden SAPS for all the work they do in our community,” says Bekimbia-Tchoffo.

Community members that would like to donate plants can still do so. Please contact Mathabo on 082 686 0411 or WhatsApp 072 140 5041 for collection.
