Ann Harding Cheshire Home encourages people to support Casual Day
Residential care facility for adults with disabilities asks community to support Casual Day.
Ann Harding Cheshire Home has asked people to take part in this year’s Casual Day.
The residential care facility in Northwold cares for 40 adults who have physical disabilities
The home’s fundraising manager Jackie Kyle said everyone could support the #ICelebrateSA theme of the annual day, which is a project by the National Council of and for Persons with Disabilities.
Come September 2, individuals, families, schools and companies will show their support by wearing a R20 sticker or other merchandise they bought for the day.
“With so much holding us down, now is the time to find our strength and joy and rise,” Kyle said.
“We want to start a conversation about everything going right for you and our country. So make your voice heard and join a chorus of South Africans highlighting the good and great in their lives. The Casual Day theme this year embodies what we try to do at the Ann Harding Cheshire Home, and it is one of the reasons our home is such a happy and positive place to be.”
