Local learners achieve top results in provincial Afrikaans public speaking competition.

Learners of Curro Aurora recently achieved excellent results in the ATKV Redenaars competition.

The Afrikaans public speaking event hosted by Afrikaans language and culture association, ATKV, is an annual event and learners of the school in Sundowner have reached the semi-finals.

Primary School learners Amy Crous (Grade 5), Ewan Liechti (Grade 7) and Zoe Niemand (Grade 4) participated in the competition and all three made it into the top 10 for Gauteng west.

Ewan and Amy qualified for the finals that will take place on August 16 and 17 at ATKV-Buffelspoort.
