Local dancer excels in Belfast

The Curro Aurora learner has been dancing since the age of five.

Local Irish dancer Mackenzie Callen stepped up a storm at the recent Irish World Championships, helping a South African team win the title.

The 50th annual event in Belfast saw Mackenzie wow spectators for weeks.

The Grade 8 Curro Aurora learner placed fourth as an individual dancer in her age category and helped her figure team win the whole title – a dream come true for the dancers.

Mackenzie has been dancing since the age of five.
