Movie about marital values premieres at Northgate

NORTHGATE – Top local actors and producers come together to make a movie that promotes fighting for one's marriage when times get tough.


Dubbed Africa’s most unconventional and provocative Christian movie, Married & Loving It, premiered at a star-studded event at Northgate Shopping Centre’s Century CinemaX recently.

In anticipation of the release of this unique movie, celebrities, industry players and church leaders alike attended the film’s premiere.

Hosted by Paradigm Films producers Dr Tich and Dr Princisca Tanyanyiwa, the audience was treated to a special screening of the film, which presented a much-needed thought-enticing and empowering escapade of intrigue, dynamic marriage scenarios, and some hot and steamy baptismal pool scenes.

The lead characters are played by Weza Da Silva and Fumani Shilubana who is known for his roles in Zama Zama, My Father’s War and Kalushi.

Set against a backdrop of a touching marriage love story about a young pastor who loses his job, and his life disrupted after being accused of infidelity by his assistant pastor who is envious of his position in the church.

The impressive production cast includes Nollywood star Zack Orji, as well as Sibongile Phakathi, Godfrey Tobajane and Ayanda Magam.

Executive producer Dr Tich Tanyanyiwa said, “We are coming side by side to say ‘here is a helping hand in telling the greatest story ever told’ – the story of sacrifice, you and I are on the winning side. Together we can make a difference.”

He reflected on his own challenges as all doors for funding and any form of partnership from the film industry bodies and developmental funders were shut at each attempt.
