Randburg CPF organises food for police

KENSINGTON B – Police receive food during difficult time of unrest and lockdown.

The Randburg Community Policing Forum (CPF) has done its part to help those on the front line during these difficult times of unrest and the pandemic.

“After a number of requests by members and residents in the precinct, the Randburg CPF is initiating an emergency project to provide warm food and refreshments to our front line SAPS members, as well as any security providers and CPF members that are assisting with the effort to maintain law and order in our various sectors,” explained CPF chairperson, Kerry Wetton.

“We have already mobilised volunteers for pick-ups and drop-offs, members who will assist with the logistics and planning, and a catering service that will cook up the dry goods into warm meals.”

The initiative is partnered with Hot Cares, and Horn and Phillips Catering Consortium.

“All donations will be used to prepare and deliver meals to the frontline teams. Any surplus will be directed to our neighbouring CPF structures, and further afield if required.”

Wetton encouraged community members to contribute to the project by contacting info@hotcares.co.za or through the www.hotcares.co.za website.

“Thanks to all who have already come forward, and to those that are undoubtedly keen on doing so. Your contribution does not go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated.”
