Old Parks hosts successful bowls championships

BORDEAUX – The Old Parks Bowling Club proudly hosted the Johannesburg Bowls Association Two Bowl Mixed Trips Championships 2021.


The Old Parks Bowling Club was proud to host the Johannesburg Bowls Association Two Bowl Mixed Trips Championships 2021 on 21 February.

The mixed trips tournament saw various clubs from across the Joburg region compete in a tournament that carried over from last year due to the Covid-19 lockdown.

Quarter, semis and final rounds were held in a day of bowling fun. The ultimate result saw Jason Evans, Gerhard Kruger and Nicole Erasmus of Roosevelt Park Bowling Club emerge as the Two Bowl Mixed Trips Champions 2021, beating club counterparts Debbie Phillips, Mike Doyle and Johan Crafford.

Old Parks Bowling Club chairperson Eileen Breakey encouraged both young and old to consider taking up bowls as a fun and social pastime.
