One dead in N1 North collision
RANDBURG – The pedestrian died after being hit by a motorcycle and then a car while trying to cross the N1 North.
Emer-G-Med responded to an accident on N1 North after the Malibongwe Drive off-ramp in Randburg at around 6.30 am on 20 October.
According to Caitlin Kruger, a team member from Emer-G-Med, a pedestrian, who was hit by a motorcycle and then a vehicle, died on the scene. “A biker was travelling on the N1, there was a car next to him. A pedestrian ran over the N1 but was hit by the biker and then fell into the lane of the car. The car then hit the pedestrian,” she explained.
“The biker sustained moderate injuries and was treated with our Advanced Life Support (ALS) treatment, he was transported to the hospital for further care.”
