An invitation to discuss community based planning

RANDBURG – "The objective of these sessions is to consult with stakeholders at a ward level to identify ward priorities for inclusion into the 2020/21 IDP and budget," said Da Gama.

 


The City of Joburg’s speaker of council Vasco da Gama is inviting the public to discuss the 2020/21 Integrated Development Planning and budget processes.

Da Gama said, “The objective of these sessions is to consult with stakeholders at a ward level to identify ward priorities for inclusion into the 2020/21 IDP and budget, which will be tabled before council in March 2020.”

The public meetings will take place across the City of Joburg’s Region B, and at the following locations in the Randburg and Northcliff area:

  • Ferndale Recreation Centre, Ward 102/104, 7 September, 8am – 2pm
  • Windsor Recreation Centre, Ward 98, 28 September, 8am – 2pm
  • Marks Park, Ward 87/88, 26 October, 8am – 2pm

Ward 102 councillor David Potter said, “The City of Joburg is bringing community based planning to our Wards, and the first one will take place in my and Mike Wood’s Wards this Saturday at the Ferndale Recreation Centre.

“Should you have any City related suggestions or needs requiring attention and a consideration of City budget in Ward 102 or Ward 104, please attend this workshop and provide your input.”
