A bumper 21 days for Linden police

LINDEN – The Linden police are celebrating 21 days of successes after the arrest of 86 suspects.


The Linden Police are celebrating half a month of successes after the arrest of 86 suspects for various serious crimes in the policing precinct.

Linden police spokesperson Constable Takalani Matumba said, “We very proud to announce that our members arrested 86 suspects over the course of 1 to 21 July.”

She said that suspects were arrested for a number of various crimes including:

  • Possesion of drugs
  • Possesion of cannabis
  • Possesion of stolen property
  • Fraud
  • Shoplifting
  • Reckless an negligent driving
  • Assault with grievous bodily harm
  • Armed robbery
  • Malicious damage to property
  • Theft

Matumba added, “We would like to congratulate all of our members who shared a part in the arrests of the 86 suspects and acknowledge their amazing service to our community.”

All arrested suspects are expected to appear in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court soon.
