Dischem Randridge Mall with the help of Dischem Foundation donate 250 blankets

RANDPARK RIDGE – Dis-Chem Randridge joined a local volunteer soup kitchen in Newtown by handing out 250 blankets donated by Dis-Chem Foundation.


Tracey Cownley from Paballo ya Batho (Caring for People) a volunteer-run soup kitchen that serves healthy soups and bread to the homeless in the inner city meets with other volunteers every Wednesday night to hand out the soups in Newtown.

On one Wednesday night, 10 July, Cristo Horn manager of Dis-Chem Randpark Ridge joined them with a small team from the store and handed out 250 blankets donated by the Dis-Chem Foundation.

The blanket drive was a success, assisting in keeping those most vulnerable in our community warm during the cold months.
