RANDPARK – Rand Park High School says goodbye.

Early this morning learners, teachers and family members had to say goodbye to Joshua Collins, who passed away early the morning on 15 March.

Alan Wilke, the principal of Rand Park High School said, “One of our Grade 9 learners, Joshua Collins, passed away this morning after a tremendous battle against an illness.”

Joshua joined the Rand Park High School last year and immediately committed himself to everything he does in the school. He was a talented cricketer who developed a passion for rugby.

Wilke added, “Joshua had many close friends at the school, he was dearly loved for his calm, sensible yet fun-loving personality and his commitment to life, his family and school. He will be missed and has left an indelible mark on our hearts. Our deepest condolences on behalf of every staff member and learners especially to his mother, Margaret Collins and his father, Tomas Collins.”
