Woman stuck in tree following flash flood

BLAIRGOWRIE – ER24 rescues a 47-year-old woman who was stuck in a tree.


BLAIRGOWRIE – Emergency service, ER24 rescued  a 47-year-old woman who was stuck in a tree in Blairgowrie.

According to a statement from ER24, it is understood that the women was swept downstream by a flash flood shortly after crossing a waterfall. She managed to grab a tree branch and climbed onto the tree. With some quick thinking, security guards on the premises grabbed a ladder and some rope.

ER24 medics coaxed her on to cross the water safely. She was found to have sustained moderate injuries and was treated on the scene before being transported to Helen Joseph Hospital for further medical care.
