Elderly man stabbed to death in Zandspruit

A man in his late 50s was stabbed in the chest and later died in Zandspruit on Friday evening, 1 February.

In a statement issued by ER24 paramedics, it is alleged that the man was stabbed by his wife.

“ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find government services already trying to save the man’s life. He’d been taken to a garage on the edge of the town so that help would be able to reach him quickly. He unfortunately succumbed to his wounds and was later declared dead on the scene,” said ER24 spokesperson Ross Campbell in the statement.

“The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown to ER24, however the South African Police Services were on the scene for further investigation.”
