The Linden Police are warning the community about the presence of an alleged flasher who is showing his genitals to children.
According to Linden police spokesperson, Constable Takalani Matumba, the suspect targets young schoolgirls in the Linden area in his silver Mercedes-Benz.
Matumba said, “The suspect is driving around various parts of Linden showing his private parts to young girls.”
A case was opened at the station after two young girls aged 11 and 12 were walking home from school when they were called over by a man to his car.
The suspect was allegedly sitting naked in his car as the girls approached him.
She continued, “The girls approached him only to find that the man inside the car was naked, and proceeded to show them his private parts.”
The children ran back to their undisclosed school to report the matter to the school patroller.
“The Linden police are investigating the matter and we are pleading with the community that if anyone or any child comes across this type of behaviour to report to the police as soon as possible before a terrible incident occurs,” she said.
