Curro Aurora’s softball girls aren’t afraid of a little dirt

RANDPARK RIDGE – Curro Aurora's softball team keeps the dream alive.

Softball is definitely not for softies; it’s a challenging sport, which will sometimes leave a few bruises here and there.

This year Curro Aurora’s 1st softball team had a very successful year, winning the Johannesburg top school tournament. Throughout the entire tournament, the softball team won all their matches. The victory qualified the team to participate at this year’s Gauteng Schools Championships, which took place on 20 October at Crafford Stadium in Pretoria.

During the tournament, Curro Aurora’s softball team finished as runners-up but lost to Hoërskool Oos-Moot in the finals. However, the team was still congratulated by their executive head, JC Engelbrecht, for their outstanding achievement.
